Tuna Avocado Egg Salad
In this Tuna Avocado Egg Salad, your everyday tuna salad gets jazzed up with the addition of avocado, eggs and Greek yogurt! The creamy texture of heart-healthy avocado is a wonderful replacement for mayo found in the traditional tuna salad. Eggs add even more flavor, nutrition and protein to this lovely tuna avocado egg salad.
I promise this blog isn’t all about tuna and egg salad recipes. I’ve shared quite a few in the past couple of weeks, but the truth is, they’re just so darn easy… and REALLY tasty too! Throwing several of my favorite ingredients together and coming up with a tasty meal- super quick and super simple- makes me a very happy girl.
I bring my own lunch to work everyday, without fail. To keep things interesting, I like experimenting with different ingredients to make various high protein nutritious salads. You can serve the tuna avocado egg salad on a Flatout or tortilla (wrap-style), as a topping on spinach leaves, on bread (sandwich-style) or with crackers.

Something to think about…
What’s your favorite throw together recipe?
Do you bring your lunch to work or school with you? What do you most often bring?
As I noted previously, I have quite a few tuna and egg salad recipes on the blog- enjoy!
Curried Egg Salad– My personal favorite!
Skinny Egg Salad– Super creamy delicious!
Cottage Cheese Tuna Salad– Incredibly flavorful! Brad’s favorite!
I see that you have the serving size as 1g on the nutritional facts. Is that correct? I tried this and have loved it but I’m just trying to make sure I have all my facts right!
Glad you enjoyed! This is an older recipe and when I started using a new recipe card system, the old info didn’t quite get copied over correctly. I know there are 11 servings and the nutritional info is for 1 serving. I’m not sure how 1 serving measures – probably 1/4 or 1/2 cup.
If I meal prep this all at once for 5 days, will it still be good?
I would probably only make 2-3 days in advance, as the avocado will begin to brown. Enjoy!
I just made this and put it in wraps with sautéed asparagus and lettuce. My husband loved it!
Yum! Love that idea! Thanks so much for the comment!
Great idea to mix avocado with tuna egg salad! Am going to try this recipe and make a sandwiches for lunch 🙂
Will this hold in the fridge if prepared ahead?
Yes, for a day or two. If the discoloring turns you off, add a little bit of lemon juice to the avocado before mixing. Enjoy!
Oh my! Was searching for a quick salad for lunch and listed some items in kitchen and this is what I found. I had to stop myself from eating the entire bowl. (Okay maybe not that bad but yummy to my tummy.) This is a go to for lunch, brunches, and picnics. Used coconut wraps and paired it with a green salad for heavenly goodness.
Haha! I’m so glad you loved it as much as I do. If you liked this one, you’ve got to try my curried egg salad- https://www.kimscravings.com/2015/04/curried-egg-salad/
Seriously, avocado as replacement for mayo. Another fresh and unique idea. lol Anyways, I love tuna salad very much that I prepare it weekly, but you know, even if this is your most favorite food in earth there comes a time that it sickened you. But now, I think my love for tuna will be renewed. Yay! I am making and serving this together with ice tea from best hong kong restaurant.
Hi Kim, just stumbled on your site and really like the idea of mixing tuna with egg and avocado. Sounds delish! I love them separately but never thought of combining them. I’d put it on a toasted sandwich thin which has 5 grams of fiber so that would really be a satisfying meal. Will check out your other recipes too. Thanks!
Kim. I have a hint to make it easy to add the hard boiled eggs.. I simply use the large side of a grater and grate the eggs. This is a way to make them very uniform and a fast way to do it.
Love that tip! thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks so much, Dena! Hope you get a chance to give this recipe a try!
Yum!! I love tuna salad and I love egg salad… so combining the two sounds delish!
