My Top 10 Most Frequently Made Recipes
Do you ever read blogs and wonder what recipes the author behind the blog actually makes time and time again? I do more times than I can count. Since most food blogs tend to be an endless parade of new and exciting dishes, it seems as if every night’s a dinner party where no recipe is made twice.
But I know better than to believe that. My guess is that a lot of food bloggers default to a select few recipes when they are baking and cooking behind the scenes. So today, I’m sharing the top 10 recipes that I make most often, when I’m not creating recipes for the blog.
In no particular order:
Clean Eating Creamy Chicken Enchilada Soup – I actually have lots of favorites when it comes to chili and soup recipes, on the blog. This particular recipe is a new one and both Brad and I agreed it was a total winner. It’s so simple too, I’ve already recreated it several times.
Paleo Sweet Potato Hash Breakfast Bowl – This is a go-to recipe when I want something quick, easy, delicious, healthy and satisfying. I throw in whatever veggies I have on hand and it always turns out fabulous.
Banana Oatmeal Cups – These are perfect for a grab-n-go breakfast or snack and my picky kids love them! I like making these on Sunday to snack on through the week.
Fluffy Gluten Free Yogurt Pancakes – I honestly don’t make these as often as I should, but they’re hands down the BEST healthier pancake I’ve ever eaten. Another one that my picky kiddos love.
Low Carb Protein Waffles – This should probably be at the top of the list. I make some version of these every single day. I usually don’t have them for breakfast, but instead enjoy them as a midday snack or after dinner dessert. They’re very macro-friendly, if you’re into that sort of thing. I either use banana or pumpkin to make them. And the type of cooking spray and protein powder DOES make a difference. I’m sorry, but if you don’t use a cooking spray with soy, these tend to stick. And these cook up best with Tone It Up (can be purchased at Target) or Nuzest protein powder. Others that I’ve tried, make the waffle too stiff. The coconut flavor protein powder is the bomb.
Best Ever Paleo Pan Fried Chicken – My whole family loves this chicken! The coconut flour seasoning works well to keep the chicken nice and tender. And I love using thinner cuts of meat for a super quick cooking time.
Easy Cream Cheese Pie With Cherries – My son always requests this pie for his birthday and this year, he talked me into whipping it up for Christmas too. I make this super easy pie at least once a year, usually twice. I always forget just how good it is too.
Best Damn Salsa Ever – This salsa never goes out of style. We especially love it in the summer with garden tomatoes. If you’re looking to try your own salsa recipe, start with this one. Just read all of the awesome reviews on the pin.
Cilantro Jalapeno Hummus – Brad and I are huge fans of hummus. We love store-bought, but if I have a little extra time I always like to make my own. Love that I have control over the ingredients and flavor. This one is our favorite!
Blueberry Banana Power Muffins – I make these every week and store them in the freezer for a quick snack with my afternoon coffee. They heat up perfectly in the microwave and I love that they don’t have any added sugar. Be sure to use extra ripe bananas and they’ll be perfectly sweet.
Bonus: These are my go-to cookie recipes. I typically only make these around Christmastime because, what can I say, I’m a complete cookie monster!
