Heavens-ta-Betsy, this pizza. It will slap you silly… in a good way. And you won’t be able to stop eating it. Just a little warning. ?
This pizza has some awesome components. Let’s talk about them.
Pretty much every single ingredient seems to steal the show. I mean, we’re talkin’…
- Butternut!
- Bacon!
- Goat Cheese!
- Mozzarella!
- Fontina!
- Cornmeal crust!
- CARBS!
What’s not to love?!?
This is how you make dreams come true.
Let’s make this recipe:
Keep things super simple and start with a pre made cheese pizza. You can thank me later for giving you this suggestion. Any variety will do, but I chose to use the goat cheese pizza for this particular recipe.
Simply fry up some bacon and while the bacon is frying, roast the cubed butternut squash. (<– Pro tip: do yourself a favor and buy precubed squash!) Once that’s all cooked up, top your pizza with the bacon and butternut squash.
Then pop it all in the oven for about 12 minutes…
I am in LOVE with this pizza and I know you will be too. It’s:
Flavorful
Winter-inspired
The perfect balance of savory + sweet
Loaded with deliciousness
Satisfying
& Simple
This is the perfect dish when you’re craving pizza but want something extra special.
