If you’re a longtime reader, I’m sure you know how much love I have for Kroger. It’s my number one go-to for finding everything from common well known products to fun unique finds. So, you can imagine my delight when I was invited to the annual Kroger Influencer Council Think Tank in Cincinnati, Ohio. And what an amazing experience it was!

From beginning to end, my time with the Kroger team and fellow food bloggers was spent enjoying delicious meals, having tons of fun and learning so much. We started off a jam-packed day with a phenomenal breakfast, made with food that had been repurposed. Kroger is all about eliminating food waste, which I think we can all stand behind. I learned that rather than tossing food that will expire soon, Kroger works with food banks to ensure the community is well fed. It’s all about Zero Hunger and Zero Waste. Love that!

Not only did we learn about all of the awesome initiatives Kroger has in the works, but we also got the lowdown on all of the new products that have just hit the shelves or will be soon.

We even got to give some of them a try! Be on the lookout, guys, there are some very tasty things coming your way!

And I still feel full just thinking about all of the irresistible meals and snacks we were served!

Of course as food bloggers we had to have a photo of all of the deliciousness!

We were given great information about the latest and greatest with ClickList and OptUP. Have you tried ClickList yet? It is wonderful! If you’re not familiar with ClickList – it’s an amazing way to order groceries from the comfort of your own home. Schedule ahead a pick-up time and drive to your local Kroger; your groceries are loaded up for you. Such a great way to grab what you need when you just can’t spare the time to shop in store. And if you haven’t heard about the OptUp app yet, read more here.

We ended the day by using ClickList, ourselves, to purchase groceries needed for a blogger cooking contest. We each were given a course (I had appetizer) and had to choose a recipe to make for the judging event later in the evening. The competition was on!

It was such a lovely treat to cook in the same kitchen with fellow food bloggers who are such an inspiration to me. My recipe contribution was a family favorite, my super easy pizza cups.

They start out with wonton wrappers and Italian turkey sausage for the filling. The filling is very versatile, though. You can basically do whatever you would do for a normal pizza. You can add chopped onion, mushrooms or bell pepper to the sausage. Grab the recipe to my pepperoni pizza cups here.

Once the cooking was complete, it was time for feasting and boy did we feast. So much deliciousness! I don’t think I’ll be hungry for weeks!

I wanted to shout out a HUGE thank you to Kroger for the awesome learning experience and amazing time. And an extra special thank you to Andrew, Jorie, Liz and the rest of the Kroger social media team. It was an absolute pleasure and I look forward to the possibility of attending similar events in the future.
