I used Annie’s Organic Shells and Real Aged Chedder Mac & Cheese to make a really quick, tasty, healthy dinner that my whole family enjoys. My kiddos, like most, are crazy for Mac & Cheese… what can I say I’m pretty crazy for Mac & Cheese too! I always use Annie’s brand Mac & Cheese because they choose every ingredient that goes into their products with care. You won’t find any; GMOs, synthetic preservatives, artificial flavors, synthetic colors, growth hormones or persistent pesticides. Just look for Bernie, the little rabbit on Annie’s packaging and you’ll know you’re getting a top notch product. Who else is #teamannies? 🙂

Mac & Cheese with Chicken Sausage and Peas- The kiddies and the grownups will love this Mac & Cheese!

I think most of us can admit, we love plain ol’ Mac & Cheese with nothing added. However, it’s always fun to experiment and change things up. I decided to use a nitrate-free, minimally processed Apple Chicken Sausage and some frozen peas to give my Mac & Cheese a little extra oomph. While the Mac & Cheese was boiling; I chopped up a couple of sausage links and heated them in a small skillet. When the Mac & Cheese was cooked and prepared, I threw in the sausage and frozen peas. I love an entire meal that can be served in about 10-15 minutes! Works well for those busy school nights!
