A healthy, tasty, easy Mediterranean layer dip recipe that is a great appetizer or wholesome snack. Loaded with goodies, like hummus, pesto, feta, olives and sun-dried tomatoes. Just don’t forget the easy-to-love, witty and fun JaM Cellars!
This healthy and easy Mediterranean layer dip is a go-to when I’m short on time, but need a flavorful app with lots of color. I first made this recipe when I was in the middle of a move and didn’t have many kitchen tools or ingredients on the ready.
It’s one of those uncomplicated, throw together dips that’s always a huge hit. I’ve actually had multiple friends take out scratch paper to jot down all of the ingredients to recreate! I would call that a success.
It’s pretty great on its own, but paired with JaM Cellars and you’ve got a match made in heaven. JaM Cellars makes three easy-to-love, everyday California wines – Butter Chardonnay, JaM Cabernet and Toast Sparkling. Obsessed – Butter Chardonnay is totally my JaM! It’s rich, bold and luscious. It’s creaminess melts in your mouth like no other Chardonnay I’ve enjoyed. “Everything’s Better with Butter!”
Made in the tradition of quality Californian winemaking, the grapes selected are juicy, ripe and bursting with flavor. The easy-to-love Chardonnay is cold fermented to a lush creaminess and aged in a unique blend of oak. Butter brims with stone fruit and baked-lemon notes and it has a lovely, long, vanilla finish. Simply put, it melts in your mouth!
While JaM Butter is my fave, Brad especially loves JaM Cabernet. This Cab is all about the fruit (blackberries, black plums, black currant, cassis and more). Harvested at perfect ripeness and made in the tradition of great Californian winemaking, JaM Cab bursts with lush berries on the nose and palate. Aged in a unique blend of new oak, it smoothes the wine and adds a lingering touch of vanilla to the finish.
Not that it’s necessary, but it’s always fun to have a snack to go with your yummy drinks. To whip up this colorful app, I keep things simple by using store bought ingredients instead of making things like hummus and pesto from scratch. I just love awesome halfway homemade recipes that are still super impressive. With all of the colorful layered veggies and the pop of feta it is sure to grab peoples’ attention as a dish to try. It also makes a great healthy snack that you can keep in the fridge and enjoy for a couple of days.
I hope you all love this dip! It’s:
Colorful
Loaded with healthy ingredients
Insanely flavorful
Simple
Summer & holiday-friendly
Satisfying
& Delicious
This Greek-style dip would make the perfect appetizer or side dish when you’re short on time, and would be especially great for summer BBQs, but even holiday parties.

I am really liking your blog. You have some great healthy vegetarian recipe. I am going to give one a try and let you know how it went down
That dip looks almost sinful. It’s practically not a dip the way it looks. Sounds delicious though. I will have to be trying this out. And the wine pairings are great too.
This recipe looks really good. I wouldn’t have thought to combine these ingredients, but they look like they would be great together.
This disk is so beautiful and so Mediterranean….. I love the combination of the colors inside the dip. I will try to make one for my family.
Thanks for sharing!
Such a lovely photo. I’m sure everyone reading wants to have a taste, including me and it’s only 5 in the morning!
This looks so deliciously good. Looks like a Great dish for entertaining
I want that in my mouth right now! I like dips with a little texture so this would be right up my alley.
Love freshly made Mediterranean food with quality ingredients. So tasty and colorful as your recipe shows. Nothing makes it better than well matched wines and the ones you have recommended look very good also.
All these individual items are a staple in my diet, and yet I’ve never created a dip with them! This would need kalamata olives rather than the black ones, of course!
This dip looks delicious and healthy, cannot wait to make it as an appetizer for company this week. What kind of hummus did you use or would you suggest?
Thanks
I used just a traditional, classic variety. Hope you enjoy!
