Easy Pecan Pie Protein Oatmeal
Rise and shine for the most irresistibly delicious oatmeal you’ve ever tasted! This Easy Pecan Pie Protein Oatmeal is a nutritious morning meal packed with protein and loaded with pecan pie yumminess!
This post is sponsored by Vital Proteins. As always, all opinions are my own.
Pecan pie for breakfast? Yes, please! With Easy Pecan Pie Protein Oatmeal you can enjoy all of that classic pecan pie flavor without any of the guilt! Pecan pie is definitely a major favorite of mine, but I have to admit other than indulging in my Pecan Pie Tarts I try to enjoy the lighter, slightly more figure-friendly pumpkin pie.
Well guys, I’ve got some exciting news. Now, you can have your pecan pie and eat it too … or something like that. ? Besides the fact that this oatmeal is ready in minutes, it also has the perfect balance of protein, healthy fats, and whole grains which makes it my favorite fall/winter breakfast to enjoy on a busy morning!
Typically, oatmeal doesn’t offer much in regards to protein. I decided to sneak in some Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides, to not only increase the protein of this recipe, but also boost the nutrient quality of this meal in so many other ways.
I’ve been adding the collagen peptides into various recipes and even my morning cup of coffee. Collagen is a great supplement to take for your overall health, but it is really great for supporting skin and joint health. I really do think my skin, hair and even my nails are healthier because of the collagen supplement I’ve been taking for almost a year now.
Collagen is the main structural protein found in our bones, muscles, skin, and tendons that provide strength and structure to the entire body. It is the most abundant protein in the human body, and it is also the main connective tissue found in animals. The collagen protein we get from our diet comes mainly from animal sources.
There are so many health benefits from adding collagen supplement into your daily routine. Yes, collagen is great for the skin, but it can also help heal a “leaky gut”, and restore the sensitive lining of the stomach and large/small intestines. Your gut plays a huge roll in your health and well-being, so adding collagen to your diet may be a great place to start if you have digestive issues.
If you’re already taking a protein supplement to support protein synthesis before or after exercise, you may want to consider supplementing with collagen peptides. “Collagen peptides, which consists of 20% glycine and 8% arginine, may help the synthesis of creatine in the body.” Not to mention it may have been shown to support bone health by increasing bone and mineral density, increasing bone size and making bones less brittle.
Vital Proteins not only offers the flavorless Collagen Peptides, but they now carry Collagen Creamer for coffee. I cannot get enough, guys. It sure makes my coffee so tasty and creamy – I’m obsessed! And it pairs so nicely with my bowl of pecan pie oats.
I just love, love, love this bowl. It’s thick, creamy, warm and full of pecan pie flavor. Just one serving is so satisfying and always keeps me full ’til lunch with plenty of fiber and protein. You could even add a dollop of almond butter or other nut butter for extra protein, if you wish.
I enjoy my oatmeal on weekday mornings since it’s so quick and easy. But it would also be a lovely breakfast to make for guests or lazy weekend mornings – the best kind of mornings in the history of weekends.
This is the perfect bowl of oats to enjoy this holiday season… or any season. It’s:
Warm
Comforting
Perfectly sweet
Cinnamon-infused
Loaded with pecan pie flavor
Simple
Healthy
Creamy with a bit of crunch
& Perfect for chilly fall mornings
