Pumpkin Spiced Hot Cocoa
Warm up with a cozy mug of pumpkin spiced hot cocoa- a special surprise for your little ghosts and goblins after spending the evening trick-or-treating! Created with real pumpkin, chocolate yumminess and warming spices; it’s the drink of the season.
This drink recipe comes together quick and easy. Simply blend a few staples, you probably already have on hand. It makes for a great way to use up leftover pumpkin puree and if you need additional ideas for using up that pumpkin, be sure to click this link for all things pumpkin.
For an extra special treat, finish off the hot cocoa with whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon and a few marshmallows! Nothing beats a cup of hot cocoa with a hint of pumpkin to wrap your hands around, on a chily evening. Enjoy!
Pumpkin Spiced Hot Cocoa
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups milk, I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- Optional for serving; whipped cream topping and/or marshmallows
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Transfer to a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Pour into mugs and enjoy with optional ingredients, if desired.
